Bonnie Raitt’s extraordinary guitar playing is usually executed on Brownie, a mid-60’s Fender Stratocaster with a neck from a slightly later era. As with Clapton’s Blackie (Clapton also had a Brownie – not the same guitar as Raitt’s), the name lacks imagination, most likely due to reluctance of the artist to giving it an actual name.
