Summer NAMM Preview - Beamz
The Summer NAMM show takes place this weekend in Nashville, and the L2P Network will be there scouting out the latest tools and technologies for making music.. and making money making music. One of the products will be looking at is the ...
Beamz Interactive Music System. The Beamz is an approachable instrument that brings people into the world of digital music making without having to know how to read or play traditional music. By simply passing your hands through any of the six laser beams, you can trigger multiple streams of musical notes and sounds that are never out of key. The product consists a “W-shaped” controller that features six laser beams. A USB cord links the unit to a computer, which runs the Beamz motion-activated PC-based software. You can record your original songs right into the computer and save the music as a wave file (*.wav) or as a Windows Media file (*.wma) to share with family and friends.
According to Beamz Interactive CEO Charles Mollo. “Whether you are a music enthusiast, professional musician, parent or child interested in learning an instrument, a Guitar Hero™ or Rock Band™ player, DJ, or music educator, the Beamz is simple, fun, and always sounds harmonious. Regardless of your beam selection or timing, you can’t play a bad note. We are excited about many new developments on the horizon for the professional musician, gamers and even those with disabilities.”
